Last updated 14 June 2026. This policy is issued by the Business named above ("the Business") and by Kerbside ("Kerbside"), which operates the booking platform. Together, we are referred to as "we", "us" or "our" where context permits.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our booking services. This may include:
We only collect sensitive information (as defined by the APPs) with your consent or where the law otherwise permits.
We collect personal information:
Where practicable we will tell you at the point of collection why we are collecting your information and how it will be used.
| Purpose | Information used |
|---|---|
| Processing and confirming bookings | Name, contact details, service and vehicle details |
| Sending booking confirmations, reminders and service notifications | Email, phone |
| Processing payments and issuing receipts | Payment info (via Stripe), email |
| Managing your account and membership | Name, email, membership details |
| Responding to enquiries and complaints | Contact details, enquiry content |
| Sending marketing communications (with your consent or where otherwise permitted) | Email, phone |
| Improving our platform and services | Usage data (aggregated and de-identified where possible) |
| Complying with legal obligations | As required by applicable law |
We will not use your personal information for a purpose other than the primary purpose of collection, unless you have consented, or the secondary use is directly related to the primary purpose, or another exception under the APPs applies.
We share your personal information with third parties only where necessary to provide our services or where required by law:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We send two types of electronic messages under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth):
Every marketing SMS includes the instruction "Reply STOP to opt out". Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time at getkerbside.com/unsubscribe or by contacting the Business. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about existing bookings.
All commercial electronic messages identify the sender (the Business, powered by Kerbside) in accordance with the Spam Act.
We use session cookies that are strictly necessary for the Site to function (e.g. maintaining your booking session). We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics tools that set non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS), industry-standard database access controls, and payment processing via Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. When your information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your information — see section 9 below.
Under the APPs, you have the right to:
To make an access, correction or deletion request, contact the Business directly using the contact details on the booking page, or contact Kerbside at getkerbside@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. If we refuse your request, we will give you written reasons and advise you of any avenues of review.
If you believe we have breached the APPs or your privacy rights, we encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve your concern:
